Here we are half way through the year and we haven't been updating our blog. Time flies so quickly!
So, what has been happening here at Dad's Boats. Well, firstly, we have a new model of The Pedal Boat. The 'Universal' model is a lower spec version prompted by the interest from boat hire companies wanting a lower maintenance option. Full details are here on the website.
We have been out to demo the boat to local companies and have received a fantastic reception.
New for 2019 is our partnership with Martham Ferry Boatyard. You can hire The Pedal Boat from their premises. Online booking is here.
Having seen the demise of the London Boat Show this year we have tried a couple of new shows. In May, as well as our regular trip to Windermere, we attended the Crick Boat Show. We were very well received by visitors who 'have never seen anything like it'!
Just this last weekend we enjoyed a very interesting four days at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Why? Well, Goodwood are trying to develop a marine section along side the already established aero section. Needless to say we raised a few eyebrows among the high octane displays. However, many visitors were wowed by the craftsmanship and ingenuity of both The Pedal Boat and our ornamental propellers. Let's see what transpires in the coming weeks.
That's about the size of it for the moment. We'll try and be a bit more productive in the 'blogosphere' in future!
